2013 Arbor Day Tree Planting
We had great weather to plant trees with City of Concord staff and officials to commemorate the city's status as Tree City USA as presented by the Arbor Day Foundation. The city has been so designated now for 32 years now, including 31 consecutive years, the longest existing duration of any city in the Bay Area. Quite a nice accomplishment!
Six scouts along with siblings and parents made it to this event to represent Pack 380. Way to go scouts!

2012 Arbor Day Celebration On Earth Day
Our Pack 380 scouts, along with other cub and girl scouts from the area, joined in the City of Concord's celebration of Arbor Day on Earth Day, April 22. Mayor Ron Leone along with Council Member Laura Hoffmeister were on-hand for the celebration, which focused on planting trees at Newhall Park. The trees that we planted are located across the bridge on the north side of the parking lot.
Thanks go to our Cubmaster, Mr. Llata, for having us join the city for these celebrations!

Successful Tree Planting with The Mayor!
A short blurb about Pack 380 helping with the City of Concord's annual Arbor Day celebrations was in the May 12, 2011 edition of the Concord Transcript. The accompanying photo showed three of our scouts (David, Gavin and Ethan) working with Cubmaster Llata to plant trees at Ellis Lake Park. The on-line article shows the text but the photo is missing, but here is the link for those interested: http://www.contracostatimes.com/concord/ci_18042114
The following is a scanned image of the page in the Concord Transcript:

Also on hand were scouts Owen Lang and Ryan Emoto and their siblings.
